My Story
Before deciding to return to school to study Traditional Chinese Medicine, I worked as a farm manager on four season, certified organic, vegetable farms in Michigan and I also spent many years working in landscaping and garden maintenance. My clinical practice is informed by my studies of ecology. I have also studied western herbalism and experimented in small scale, medicinal herb production. My studies of both eastern and western herbalism are ongoing.
I enjoy living a simple, quiet life close to nature. I live with my partner (who grew up in Bloomington), two dogs, goats, and chickens out in the countryside of Monroe County. When I am not in my office, I am working to create a small farmstead, exploring the vast, upland forests down here, reading, and researching natural medicine.
I love to travel and explore the the world around me, whenever I get the chance. I have lived in Oregon, California, and Colorado but the Great Lakes region is one of my favorite places on earth. I always look forward to summertime swimming and kayaking up in Michigan. If anything I have said resonates with you, please reach out.

I became an acupuncturist, in order to offer this natural, folk medicine to anyone who is looking to invest in their physical, mental, and emotional health. I am here to help you gain a deeper connection to your body's own power to heal and flourish. I can offer the support you need to reach your health goals and feel your best, whether you are looking to resolve a certain issue or you are looking for preventative care to stay healthy and manage stress. The health of our earth, communities, and bodies is central to my healing philosophy. I strive to create safe space. I practice feminist, body positive, and trans-informed care. I honor gender self-determination and I practice trauma informed care as I work with people to create a personalized treatment plan for real life.
I am committed to social and environmental justice and I believe all people deserve quality, accessible, and affordable healthcare. I was raised in a working class family in a rustbelt town in Michigan. I have seen first hand how inequity can affect mental, physical, and spiritual health. I am committed to offering care for everyone who needs it. I can offer an income based sliding scale pricing structure for acupuncture sessions, if needed.
